How to Use Red Hat Gluster Storage (formerly Red Hat Storage Server) Subscriptions for Public and Hybrid Cloud in AWS
Purpose
This article provides the steps that a customer must execute to link Red Hat Gluster Storage subscriptions purchased from Red Hat to a customer's Amazon account number so that the subscriptions are usable in Amazon Web Services.
Mechanism
If you have purchased Red Hat Gluster Storage for Public or Hybrid Cloud[1], use the following steps once you receive the entitlements in your RHN account.
Step 1. Go to Red Hat's This content is not included.Cloud Access Registration Page
Step 2. Fill out the details requested and the quantities of Red Hat Gluster Storage for Public Cloud or Hybrid Cloud subscriptions that you want to migrate to AWS
Step 3. Enter AWS account numbers
Step 4. Click submit
Step 5. Red Hat will process the request and link your subscriptions to your AWS account number so that the subscription is usable in AWS
The request processing is not instant and is processed in batches on a daily basis. Please wait for 24-48 hours for the subscriptions to show up in AWS. You'll be notified if there are any issues by Red Hat's customer service.
Also note that Red Hat Gluster Storage subscriptions for Public Cloud and Hybrid Cloud (where 50% of the entitlements are for AWS) are only for usage in the cloud and offers no movement back and forth between On-premise and Public Cloud as may be offered by other Red Hat products.
