Red Hat Single Sign-On adapter and server compatability
The This content is not included.Red Hat product download page for some Red Hat Single Sign-On (RHSSO) releases do not provide adapters for all clients because that release had no software changes to the adapter from the previous release. For example, the 7.1.1 RHSSO release does not include any EAP or Fuse adapters. When this happens the previous adapter release, should continue to be used with the new released server.
Additionally, the RHSSO attempts to maintain backwards compatibility with the previous version of the adapters to allow time to upgrade the clients after a server upgrade has been completed.
For guidance about specific version compatibility, consult the following table:
| Server version | Supported client versions |
|---|---|
| 7.0.0 | 7.0.0 |
| 7.1.0 | 7.1.0, 7.0.0 |
| 7.1.1 | 7.1.0, 7.1.11 |
Only a Node.js, Javascript and EAP SAML adapter was released for version 7.1.1
Concerning Client Adapters Maven Repository
When the download page for a particular release doesn't contain one or more client adapters, the client adapters maven repository may still contain the client adapter. For example, a 7.1.1 release of Red Hat Single Sign-On 7.1.0 Client Adapter for JBoss EAP 6 is not available from the product downloads because it was not modified from 7.1.0. However, the Red Hat Single Sign-On 7.1.1 Client Adapters Maven Repository does contain the client adapter. This is a artifact of the build process, and either can be used and is supported.
