Creating a new subscription allocation

When using an application such as Red Hat Satellite to manage subscriptions on premise, you will need to choose which subscriptions to manage via Customer Portal Subscription Management. . Subscription allocations allow you to allocate a specific set of subscriptions for usage by hosts that register with an on premise subscription management application ahead of registration.
Creating a new allocation
- Log into RHSM using an account having sufficient rights (Organization Administrator or account with View/Renew Subscription Information and Manage Your Subscriptions rights) and open the This content is not included.Subscription Allocations page.
- Click Subscription Allocations.
- Click New Subscription Allocation.
- Enter a Name, and select the type of subscription management application that you use. Ensure that you select both the correct application and the version that you are running.
- Click Create.
Adding subscriptions to an allocation
- From the Subscription Allocations overview page, click the allocation you want to update.
- Click Add Subscriptions.
Note: If this allocation has been used before, you may see a list of subscriptions already. If you still want to add more, click the Subscriptions tab instead. - Select the subscription(s) you want to allocate, and click Submit.
