Red Hat Satellite 6 Maintenence Tooling Release

There are two new tools we are providing in this new repository:

• Satellite Clone - A new tool to assist with re-creating a Satellite server based on the backup of a pre-existing Satellite. This can be be used for:
  • Disaster Recovery
  • Pre-upgrade testing
  • Beta release testing
  • Migrating your Satellite 6 running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 to version 7.
• Foreman Maintain
  • Upgrades: Fully automates the upgrade process for both major and minor upgrades
  • Health Checks: Check for common error conditions.

You can access these new tools by enabling the new rhel-7-server-satellite-maintenance-6-rpms repository via subscription-manager:

subscription-manager repos --enable rhel-7-server-satellite-maintenance-6-rpms

The tools can then be installed via:

# yum install rubygem-foreman_maintain satellite-clone
