The Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop Offering is not available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.

With the introduction of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, the Desktop product offering is replaced with Workstation. Customers using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and 7 Desktop may continue to do so. Customers who wish to install RHEL 8 Workstation on their systems and have purchased Desktop must upgrade their subscriptions to Workstation subject to the terms and conditions in Appendix 1 of the Red Hat Subscription Services agreement. Customers who are using the Desktop subscription for other purposes should contact their Red Hat account team for conversion of their subscriptions to an appropriate alternative.

With the introduction of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, all subscriptions have access to new content and new Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 features, such as Red Hat Insights. Please contact your Red Hat account team to make sure that you have the right subscription for your needs and take advantage of all the new features that RHEL 8 offers.
