Red Hat OpenShift Subscription Watch FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
I am taking advantage of the OpenShift oversubscription allowance whilst we migrate to OpenShift 4. How is this displayed in Subscription Watch?
Currently, Subscription Watch is not aware of clusters that are over-subscribed. Customers with subscribed Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 3 and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 clusters could have usage above the threshold displayed. More information can be found in the over-subscribed OpenShift Clusters knowledge article.
My subscription threshold is not the quantity I expect, compared to the number of entitlements I have purchased.
Subscription Manager implements a SKU whitelist. It is possible that that you are using an entitlement and SKU which has not been whitelisted. Open a case, and Red Hat support will investigate adding the SKU to the whitelist.
I’ve deployed, or scaled, a cluster and the usage on Subscription Watch has not changed. When should I expect this to be reflected?
Subscription Watch totals are updated daily, and reports the usage at the point in time a snapshot is taken. Any changes to the numbers of clusters or nodes may take up to 24 hours to display.
Can I view an inventory of the assets which are used to show my subscription usage?
This will be available with a future update.
The history of the Subscription Watch graph is not correct, can this be manually rectified?
Subscription Watch reflects usage per a given inventory which is shared by the customer and should be used as an aid to track consumption and entitlements. There is no mechanism to manually edit the historical total usage.
