Red Hat Single Sign-On 7 (RH-SSO 7) End of Full / Maintenance Support

Updated

Environment

Red Hat Single Sign-On (RH-SSO) 7.x

Issue

  • End of Full Support for RH-SSO 7 ?
  • End of Maintenance Support for RH-SSO 7 ?

Resolution

As per the Red Hat JBoss Middleware Product Update and Support Policy, the RH-SSO 7.x product family has an End of Full Support set to 30 June 2022, and an End of Maintenance Support set to 30 June 2025.

For up-to-date dates, always refer to the Red Hat JBoss Middleware Product Update and Support Policy and check the table under Red Hat JBoss Core Services Collection Lifecycle Dates.

This basically means that you can use any RH-SSO 7.x minor release version and you will receive support from Red Hat on the same up until 30 June 2025. However, the maintenance support is only applicable when using the latest available 7.x minor release version, which is currently the active RH-SSO 7.6 release where bugs and CVEs fixes are being done now. Refer to Red Hat Single Sign-On (RH-SSO) Releases Roadmap for all RH-SSO versions history tracking.

Red Hat will support you on any older RH-SSO 7.x (older to 7.6) minor release version, but only for configuration related issues and other documentation/usage related issues.
If there is a bug found in using any of the older RH-SSO 7.x versions (whether it is a known bug already fixed in the latest 7.6 minor release or a new reported bug), then you will be requested to upgrade to the latest 7.6 release version. The maintenance support for bugs fixes and CVEs is only done on the latest current minor release.
