What's new

  • 3scale operator update
The 3scale operator bundle has been updated. All Red Hat OpenShift API Management instances have been automatically updated with any changes related to this version update. For information on updates, refer to the Product Enhancement Advisory.

Fixed issues

Known issues

This release of Red Hat OpenShift API Management includes the following known issues:

**Recurring known issues**
  • Currently, Braintree global payments are not supported on Red Hat OpenShift API Management.
Braintree payments will fail after configuration. For additional information on billing for Red Hat OpenShift API Management, refer to the service definiton

  • Backend creation fails, if the custom resource was not removed correctly from the OpenShift user interface
The custom resource status conditions fail if the backend was removed through the OpenShift console and the Red Hat OpenShift API Management custom resource continues to use it in the backend. To correct this issue, you must correctly delete the backend by deleting the backend custom resource and removing the backend usage from the product specification in the custom resource.

  • The Red Hat 3scale API Management Invite feature is currently unsupported in Red Hat OpenShift API Management
All users can access the 3scale Admin Portal through the Red Hat OpenShift API Management service. Although the Admin Portal appears to have the capability to invite new users, this feature is not supported in Red Hat OpenShift API Management. To add users to the Admin Portal, you must add them through the identity provider that you configured for your OpenShift Dedicated cluster. For more information, see Configuring identity providers.

  • The Red Hat OpenShift API Management add-on displays an installed status before the OpenShift API Management is fully installed and ready to use in the cluster
The Red Hat OpenShift API Management operator adds OpenShift API Management to your cluster. The OpenShift API Management operator includes sub-operators that must be installed to successfully complete installation. Currently, the add-on prematurely displays it has successfully installed the Red Hat OpenShift API Management operator before installation is complete. To verify the installation is complete, click View console on the Red Hat OpenShift API Management option in OpenShift Cluster Manager to view operator details and check the operator's status.

  • Red Hat OpenShift API Management users may receive alerts in the OpenShift Dedicated console and OpenShift Cluster Manager
Thanos alerts might be displayed in the OpenShift user interface after Red Hat OpenShift API Management is added to a Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated or Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS cluster. Some of the alerts are related to the webhook pods for the MARIN3R operator, when the Thanos query for the MARIN3R operator webhook pods checks the wrong namespace. The Thanos-related alerts can be ignored and will not cause any disruption to your Red Hat OpenShift API Management service.

  • Deleting Red Hat OpenShift API Management from your cluster
When deleting Red Hat OpenShift API Management from your Amazon Web Services (AWS) account, safeguards have been put in place to retain backups of RDS for PostgreSQL and ElastiCache for Redis, preventing unintentional data loss in the event of accidental deletion. For customer-owned AWS accounts, on deletion of Red Hat OpenShift API Management, you will need to manually delete the final backup at a time appropriate to you.

Fixed issues

  • There are no fixes included in this release of Red Hat OpenShift API Management.

Known issues

This release of Red Hat OpenShift API Management includes the following known issues:

**Recurring known issues**

To verify the installation is complete, click View console on the Red Hat OpenShift API Management option in OpenShift Cluster Manager to view the OpenShift API Management operator details and check the operator status in the console.
