Updated tuned packages that fix two bugs are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The "tuned" packages contain a daemon that tunes system settings dynamically. It does so by monitoring the usage of several system components periodically.

This update fixes the following bugs:

• Previously, remote "tuned" service starts could have led to a service unresponsiveness under certain circumstances. With this update, the handling of stdin, stdout, or stderr during the service creation has been fixed to resolve this problem. (BZ#695480)

• Previously, using NIC bonding could have led to an unexpected termination of "tuned". With this update, the network device type determination has been fixed by handling more error conditions so that the aforementioned bug no longer occurs. (BZ#707079)

All users of "tuned" are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.
