Updated ibus packages that resolve an issue are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The Intelligent Input Bus for Linux OS (IBus) is an input framework for Linux OS.

These updated ibus packages fix the following bug:

  • IBus did not work on a minimal installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 if no desktop environment, such as KDE or GNOME, was installed. This issue was caused by the missing dbus-x11 package, which IBus is dependent on. The dbus-x11 package is now included as a prerequisite for IBus in the IBus spec file, and IBus now works as expected. (BZ#667031)

All users of ibus are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve this issue.
