Updated bind97 packages that fix multiple bugs and add various enhancements are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
Description
BIND (Berkeley Internet Name Domain) is an implementation of the DNS (Domain Name System) protocols. BIND includes a DNS server (named), which resolves host names to IP addresses; a resolver library (routines for applications to use when interfacing with DNS); and tools for verifying that the DNS server is operating properly.
These updated bind97 packages include numerous bug fixes and enhancements. Space precludes documenting all of these changes in this advisory. Users are directed to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9 Technical Notes for information on the most significant of these changes:
All users of bind97 are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which provide numerous bug fixes and enhancements.
