Topic

Updated kudzu packages that fix one bug and add one enhancement are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

The kudzu packages provide a hardware probing library for automatic discovery and configuration of hardware.

This update fixes the following bug:

Prior to this update, the X11 configuration of video cards was skipped if no kernel driver was available, even if a corresponding Xorg driver existed. This update skips the configuration only in cases when none of the mentioned drivers are aqvailable. (BZ#748481)

This update also adds the following enhancement:

  • This update adds native support for Microsoft Hyper-V virtual hardware. (BZ#819903)

All users of kudzu are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug and add this enhancement.
