RHBA-2013:0678 - cman bug fix update
Synopsis
cman bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated cman packages that fix a bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
Description
The Cluster Manager (cman) utility provides user-level services for managing a Linux cluster.
This update fixes the following bug:
- In a two node cluster, under some circumstances where the network was not always reliable, and a token was lost but recovered before fencing was complete, then the two nodes simultaneously killed each other. With this update, the problem is solved by allowing only one node to kill the other in a deterministic fashion. A cluster restart, one node at a time, is required for this change to take effect. (BZ#923861)
Users of cman are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
