Updated httpd packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

The httpd packages provide the Apache HTTP Server, a powerful, efficient, and extensible web server.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • Due to a bug in the mod_proxy_httpd module, the error message "proxy: error reading response" was logged into the global error log file even when there was a specific VirtualHost error log file configured. This bug is now fixed and the aforementioned error message is now logged into the correct log file. (BZ#1012892)

Users of httpd are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug. After installing the updated packages, the httpd daemon will be restarted automatically.
