RHBA-2013:1748 - libvirt bug fix update
Synopsis
libvirt bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory (none)
Topic
Updated libvirt packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
Description
The libvirt library is a C API for managing and interacting with the virtualization capabilities of Linux and other operating systems. In addition, libvirt provides tools for remote management of virtualized systems.
This update fixes the following bug:
- When two clients tried to start the same transient domain, libvirt may have not properly detected that the same domain had already been being started. Consequently, more than one QEMU process could run for the same domain while libvirt did not know about them. With this update, libvirt has been fixed to properly check whether the same domain is not already being started, and thus avoids starting more than one QEMU process for the same domain. (BZ#1029632)
Users of libvirt are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug. After installing the updated packages, libvirtd will be restarted automatically.
