RHBA-2014:0986 - python-pthreading bug fix and enhancement update
Synopsis
python-pthreading bug fix and enhancement update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated python-pthreading packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available.
Description
The python-pthreading module provides Lock and Condition synchronization objects compatible with the Python native threading module. The implementation is based on the POSIX thread library as delivered by the libpthread and has considerable performance benefits over Python 2.x's implementation. Locking helps optimise the use of shared system resources.
This update includes changes to the python-pthreading component:
- The most recent build of python-pthreading is included in version 3.4.1 for RHEL 7 hosts. (BZ#1099997)
