Updated enchant packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The enchant packages contain a library that wraps other spell-checking back ends.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • Previously, the enchant library opened the user's custom dictionary file in write mode. Consequently, the content of the file was always erased, and any words added to the dictionary earlier were forgotten. With this update, the dictionary file is opened in append mode. As a result, new additions to the custom dictionary no longer delete previously saved words. (BZ#1015310)

Users of enchant are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
