RHBA-2016:1084 - Satellite 6.1.9 bug fix update
Synopsis
Satellite 6.1.9 bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory None
Topic
Updated Satellite 6.1 packages that fix several bugs are now available.
Description
Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.
This update fixes the following bugs:
-
Removing content views with puppet data was causing errors to be exposed in the UI. These errors are no longer raised. (BZ#1318163)
-
Setting 'Preallocate disk' flag for RHEV compute profiles would not be saved between use. This setting is now persisted. (BZ#1320313)
-
Updating the content view for a managed host was not resetting the subscription data which caused hosts to not be able to get updated content. The subscription data is now being set correctly, and therefore the contents hosts can receive updated content. (BZ#1320321)
-
Unregistering a content host caused 410 exceptions to be shown in the UI. This action no longer results in an error. (BZ#1320557)
-
Editing provisioning templates did not work unless the user had an admin role. The permissions were updated to not require the admin permission. (BZ#1321976)
-
Capsule syncing was performing additional steps during syncing by redundantly generates metadata for all repositories. This performance issue has been removed. (BZ#1327338)
-
Deleting content views with large numbers of repositories would sometimes result in errors in the UI. The concurrency issues which caused these errors has been removed. (BZ#1327343)
-
Satellite could not handle syncing yum repositories with empty revision tags. The syncing logic has been updated to support this condition. (BZ#1332922)
-
API users with the Viewer role would not get fact data when querying hosts. The views which generate the API data were updated to provide the data with this permission (BZ#1333112) Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.
