Updated scap-security-guide packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
The scap-security-guide project provides a guide for configuration of the system from the final system's security point of view. The guidance is specified in the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) format and constitutes a catalog of practical hardening advice, linked to government requirements where applicable. The project bridges the gap between generalized policy requirements and specific implementation guidelines.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Prior to this update, the OpenSCAP remediation function based on United States Government Configuration Baseline (USGCB) or Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) profiles from the SCAP Security Guide incorrectly changed the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file. Consequently, the SSH daemon failed to start and the system was not accessible using the SSH protocol. The remediation function has been fixed and a machine remediated using USGCB or STIG profiles is now accessible by SSH. (BZ#1415152)
Users of scap-security-guide are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
Solution
