Updated irqbalance packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
The irqbalance packages provide a daemon that evenly distributes the interrupt request (IRQ) load across multiple CPUs for enhanced performance.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, the default "isolated" and "nohz_full" parameters were not parsed correctly. As a consequence, when these parameters were empty, they were incorrectly applied to CPU 0. This update fixes the bug, and these parameters work as expected. (BZ#1406291)
Users of irqbalance are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.
