Updated Satellite 6.1 packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Satellite.

Description

Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.

This update fixes the following bugs:

  • The foreman-rake katello:reindex command is now delivered with Red Hat Satellite 6.1 to ensure that the Satellite database is in sync with the Elasticsearch database. (BZ#1336568)

  • A new version of python-qpid has been delivered to address deadlocks which cause synchronization tasks to stop working. (BZ#1428533)

  • Red Hat Satellite was unable to install on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4 due to SELinux issues. The candlepin package has been updated to set the contexts correctly. (BZ#1451035)

Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.
