An update for the libosinfo packages and new osinfo-db packages and osinfo-db-tools packages are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The libosinfo packages provide a library that allows virtualization provisioning tools to determine the optimal device settings for a combination of hypervisor and operating system.

The osinfo-db packages contain a database that provides information about operating systems and hypervisor platforms to facilitate the automated configuration and provisioning of new virtual machines.

The osinfo-db-tools package provides a set of command-line utilities for managing the deployment of osinfo-db archives for vendors and users.

The libosinfo packages have been upgraded to version 1.0.0. In addition, this update adds the osinfo-db and osinfo-db-tools packages to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
