Updated grub2 packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4.

Description

The grub2 packages provide version 2 of the Grand Unified Bootloader (GRUB), a highly configurable and customizable bootloader with modular architecture. The packages support a variety of kernel formats, file systems, computer architectures, and hardware devices.

This update fixes the following bug:

• A bug in the GRUB2 boot loader caused a trailing "-" character to be added to the client MAC address when attempting to load configuration files from a tftp server during PXE boot. This update fixes the bug, and clients can now load their GRUB2 configuration files from tftp servers successfully. (BZ#1497323)

• The dependencies between grub2 subpackages cause dependency resolution during installation not to work when the subpackages are split between different repositories. This update moves grub2-tools-efi into the main grub2-tools package to avoid this issue. (BZ#1499669)

Users of grub2 are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
