Updated gcc packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
The gcc packages provide compilers for C, C++, Java, Fortran, Objective C, and Ada 95 GNU, as well as related support libraries.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, GCC generated code containing .toc sections with 20 alignment. As a consequence, relocation failures could occur at kernel module load time in the generated code. GCC has been changed to generate .toc sections aligned to 23. This fix eliminates most cases of occurrence of this bug. (BZ#1493412)
Users of gcc are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
