Topic
An updated sos package that fixes one bug and adds two enhancements is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
The sos package contains a set of utilities that gather information from system hardware, logs, and configuration files. The information can then be used for diagnostic purposes and debugging.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, when the "jars" plug-in was used by the sosreport utility, sosreport became unresponsive. With this update, "jars" no longer performs unnecessary directory searches, and sosreport is generated as expected. (BZ#1500290)
In addition, this update adds the following enhancements:

The "gluster-block" plug-in has been added to the sosreport database. As a result, sosreport now collects data related to Gluster blocks. (BZ#1500286)

The "openstack" sosreport plug-in has been updated to enable sosreport to collect data from containerized Red Hat OpenStack Platform deployments. (BZ#1500289, BZ#1511087)

The "postgresql" plug-in has been updated to enable sosreport to collect data from postgreSQL installed from Software Collections. (BZ#1515113)
All sos users are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which fixes this bug and adds these enhancements.
