Updated autofs packages that fix two bugs are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
The autofs utility controls the operation of the automount daemon. The daemon automatically mounts file systems when in use and unmounts them when they are not busy.
This update fixes the following bugs:

Previously, the arguments list for autofs submounts was off by one. Consequently, macro defines for a submount were not set preventing automounts from behaving as required. With this update, autofs option parsing for maps with fstype=autofs works properly. (BZ#1503945)

Previously, the autofs map entry options field did not accept the dot character. Consequently, NFS version 4 mounts that needed a subversion could not be used by setting the NFS version in the master map so that all map entries use it. With this update, the autofs map entry options field accepts the dot character. (BZ#1503946)
Users of autofs are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.
