Updated radvd packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
The radvd packages provide the router advertisement daemon for IPv6 that listens to router solicitations and sends router advertisements. With these advertisements, hosts can automatically configure their addresses and certain other parameters. The hosts can also choose a default router based on these advertisements.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, the radvd daemon was not able to create the pid file when running in non-daemonized mode. As a consequence, monitoring processes using pid was not possible. With this update, the functionality has been backported from upstream. As a result, radvd creates the pid file using the --no daemon option as expected. (BZ#1564391)
Users of radvd are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
Solution
