RHBA-2018:1399 - rdma-core bug fix update
Synopsis
rdma-core bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory None
Topic
Updated rdma-core packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
Red Hat Enterprise Linux includes a collection of Infiniband and iWARP utilities, libraries and development packages for writing applications that use Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) technology. The rdma-core packages provide the RDMA core userspace libraries and daemons.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, when systems with the RDMA i40e driver trying to suspend and the i40iw driver was loaded automatically at boot time, the systems could terminate unexpectedly. This update removes the systemd rule that previously loaded the i40iw driver. As a result, i40iw is not loaded automatically, and the mentioned systems no longer crash. (BZ#1568325)
Users of rdma-core are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
