Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform release 3.6.173.0.123 is now available with updates to packages and images that fix several bugs.

Description

Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is the company's cloud computing Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution designed for on-premise or private cloud deployments.

This advisory contains the RPM packages for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 3.6.173.0.123. See the following advisory for the container images for this release:

This update fixes the following bugs:

  • In certain cases, an existing etcd installation may not have updated configuration variables, causing services to fail. This bug fix ensures the etcd.conf file is verified during upgrades to ensure all variables are set as expected. (BZ#1563375)

  • This bug fix addresses an issue in which image garbage collection was prevented from attempting to remove images in use by containers. (BZ#1580551)

  • Image stream tags were not explicitly requesting import. The image stream would just import the first five tags from the repository. This bug fix explicitly marks tags to be imported, and the declared tags will all be imported instead of a random set of first five tags. (BZ#1578672)

All OpenShift Container Platform 3.6 users are advised to upgrade to these updated packages and images.
