Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform release 3.10.45 is now available with updates to packages and images that fix several bugs and add enhancements.

Description

Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is Red Hat's cloud computing Kubernetes application platform solution designed for on-premise or private cloud deployments.

This advisory contains the RPM packages for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 3.10.45. See the following advisory for the container images for this release:

This update fixes the following bugs:

  • Previously, the logging eventrouter image was tagged incorrectly in the build system. This bug fix reverts the image name. (BZ#1622440)

  • Previously, the default storage class got installed with a reclaim policy set equal to "" (an empty string). As a consequence, dynamically provisioned PVs of the default storage class had a Retain policy instead of the expected Delete policy. This bug fix installs the default storage class with a nil reclaim policy. (BZ#1623234)

This update includes the following enhancement:

  • Fluentd now reconnects to Elasticsearch every 100 operations by default. Previously, if one Elasticsearch operation started before the others in the cluster, the load balancer in the Elasticsearch service would connect to that one only, as would all of the fluentd connecting to Elasticsearch. By having Fluentd reconnect periodically, the load balancer is able to spread the load evenly among all of the Elasticsearch in the cluster. (BZ#1616352)

All OpenShift Container Platform 3.10 users are advised to upgrade to these updated packages.
