RHBA-2018:2915 - Satellite 6.3.4 Async Bug Fix Update
Synopsis
Satellite 6.3.4 Async Bug Fix Update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory None
Topic
Updated Satellite 6.3 packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Satellite.
Description
Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- Candlepin was throwing 500 Internal Server Error if you had more than 40 virt-who guests. This is now fixed. (BZ#1633252)
- Deprecation warnings have been added to katello-backup, and katello-restore in Satellite 6.3. (BZ#1569672)
- Repository data was not being updated with modified data from RCM and Entitlement Services. This is now fixed. (BZ#1570792)
- After an upgrade, foreman-selinux had not added a label for port 2375/tcp. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624026)
- Validation problems were preventing host discovery for existing MAC and IP addresses. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624034)
- Hosts without an entry in the Candlepin database were not deleted. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624019)
- The Content View was not updating on Content Hosts if the change was made in the Satellite web UI using the edit option on Hosts > All Hosts. (BZ#1624020)
- The livecd-tools package is now included in the Satellite repository. (BZ#1624027)
- The error messages for the Capsule Overview page were unable to fetch logs "ï¼¼xE1" from ASCII-8BIT to UTF-8. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624035)
- The MonitorEventQueue performance for large workloads has been improved. (BZ#1624038)
- Satellite was failing to install on RHEL 7.6 Beta and returning the following message: /Stage[main]/Candlepin::Service/Exec[cpinit]/returns: change from notrun to 0 failed. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624022)
- The clean_backend_objects task was not verifying the managed host status prior to deletion. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624028)
- The processing of a virt-who report blocked Red Hat Subscription Management certificate checks and lead to 503 errors. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624045)
- When a UUID was used for Content Host registration, this caused unexpected behavior with entitlement status. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624033)
- Because of an org_environment content access problem, performing Content view update on the client made the client unable to access content. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624036)
- Using the Satellite web UI functionality in All hosts > Edit host, it was not possible to override hostgroup parameters. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624025)
- The directory listing for the /pub directory has been disabled using custom-hiera. (BZ#1624021)
Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.
