Updated cronie packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
The cronie packages contain the standard UNIX daemon crond that runs specified programs at scheduled times and related tools. They are a fork of the original vixie-cron cron implementation and have security and configuration enhancements like the ability to use pam and SELinux.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, when modifying the crontab file twice in the same second, the newer version of the content was in some cases not registered by the system. This update fixes the race condition causing this problem, and crontab changes are now registered successfully in the described circumstances. (BZ#1645659, BZ#1645660)
Users of cronie are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fixes the bug.
Solution
