Topic

Updated efivar packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The efivar packages provide a command line interface for UEFI Variable Facility management.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • Upgrading a system UEFI firmware with the fwupdmgr utility previously did not work due to a bug in the efivar library. With this update, efivar has been fixed, and upgrading firmware now works properly on UEFI systems. (BZ#1649712)

Users of efivar are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
