Synopsis
Satellite 6.5.2 Async Bug Fix Update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory None
Topic
Updated Satellite 6.5 packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Satellite.
Description
Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- Provisioning with the AWS compute resource was failing depending on the region. (BZ#1678339)
- The libsolv package was upgraded to version 0.6.35. (BZ#1698945)
- The Satellite web UI for container registries had the following error: "undefined method `auto_complete_search_registries_path'". (BZ#1703018)
- Trying to create a container resulted in a 500 error. (BZ#1703397)
- Because of problems with the dynflow scheduling mechanism, tasks that were initiated later were executed ahead of existing tasks. This problem left older tasks waiting. (BZ#1721131)
- Because of host-naming conventions, if you registered a host with the same hostname as another host, the original host became unregistered. (BZ#1726809)
- While promoting a Content View, the Capsule sync planning in foreman-tasks was taking a long time to complete. (BZ#1726810)
- Changing the download policy was failing with the error: Validation failed: Upstream username and password may only be set on custom repositories. (BZ#1726811)
- Entering the insights-client --display-name command in Satellite was returning a 404 error. (BZ#1726823)
- Unable to retrieve gpg_keys through Capsule. (BZ#1726824)
- A sync plan that was scheduled for hourly intervals executed every minute on upgraded Satellite hosts in versions 6.4.z to 6.5 GA. (BZ#1726825)
- There were missing rpms in the erratum package list when an erratum appeared in multiple enabled repositories. (BZ#1726829)
- RHEL 8 with iPXE was failing because of deprecated options being selected. (BZ#1726830)
- There was a misplaced static variable in Kickstart default iPXE template. (BZ#1726831)
- The available versions in the web UI for enabling repositories has been updated to remove two invalid options. (BZ#1726832)
- The Red Hat Repositories window in the Satellite web UI did not list the RHEL 8 BaseOS, AppSteam, and Kickstart repositories. (BZ#1726836)
- The bulk action to update all packages with the katello agent was failing. (BZ#1726840)
- Apache Tomcat experienced segmentation faults in JSS and NSS during certain operations in Satellite 6 on RHEL 7.7 (BZ#1727963)
- Host registration was failing at random intervals with the error code: 409 Conflict. (BZ#1728291)
- There were problems with running sequential tasks successfully. (BZ#1731277)
- subscription-manager was failing with the following error HTTP error: 422 - Unknown: Please unregister or remove hosts which match this host before registering:
(BZ#1732891) - The upgrade process was not executing the db:seed method. (BZ#1732921)
Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.
