Topic

Updated dnsmasq packages that fixes two bugs are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The dnsmasq packages contain Dnsmasq, a lightweight DNS (Domain Name Server) forwarder and DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server.

This update fixes the following bugs:

  • dnsmasq: stops responding to TCP queries with --bind-dynamic when interface index number changes (BZ#1745444)

  • dnsmasq-utils: dhcp_release did not send release request when requested IP was not connected directly to local network (BZ#1757351)

Users of dnsmasq are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.
