RHBA-2020:0289 - gluster-ansible bug fix update
Synopsis
gluster-ansible bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory None
Topic
Updated gluster-ansible packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.5.
Description
The gluster-ansible packages provide a number of ansible roles for deploying and managing GlusterFS clusters.
This update provides the following bug fixes:
-
RHHI-V re-deployment fails to mount few bricks as systemd silently unmounts those bricks and returns success without an error. Hence, bricks are created directly on the root filesystem /gluster_bricks/engine/engine. Reload of systemd, mounts XFS filesystem back and /gluster_bricks/engine becomes the mount point and it is empty, killing the already running glusterfsd (brick) process. With this update, we reload systemd daemon before mounting the bricks to ensure bricks are available. (BZ#1794260)
-
Previously, in a standard RHHI deployment, all gluster volumes are created on all nodes and there is no way to specify volumes for specific nodes. With this update, the user can create separate volumes when you have six or more and specify which nodes the gluster volumes need to be created. (BZ#1774852)
All users of Red Hat Gluster Storage are advised to upgrade to this updated version of gluster-ansible.
