Synopsis

Satellite 6.7 Satellite Maintenance Release

Type/Severity

Bug Fix Advisory None

Topic

Updated Satellite 6.7 packages that fix several satellite-maintain issues are now available

Description

Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.

This update adds the following features:

  • A new pre-upgrade check to identify whether duplicate roles have been added. (BZ#1720253)

  • The satellite-maintain packages process locks the packages so that a user cannot accidentally start an upgrade process using Yum. (BZ#1734763)

This update fixes the following bugs:

  • The satellite-maintain process was failing on Capsule if certain server packages were installed. (BZ#1651068)

  • A failed upgrade was printing incorrect instructions. (BZ#1526612)

Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.
