Updated glusterfs packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available for Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.5 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

Red Hat Gluster Storage is a software-only scale-out storage solution that provides flexible and affordable unstructured data storage. It unifies data storage and infrastructure, increases performance, and improves availability and manageability to meet enterprise-level storage challenges.

This advisory fixes the following bugs:

Earlier, the commands for ganesha-ha.sh script failed as the syntax for pcs commands changed with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. With this update, the pcs commands are updated to the new syntax and the pcs commands no longer fail when executed in the script. (BZ#1802727)
Earlier, the rebalance process used fallocate() system call to create the destination files when migrating sparse files. This sometimes resulted in the error “No space left on the device” if the size of the sparse file was enormous and the destination node could not accommodate the file. With this update, the code is modified to use truncate() system call to create destination files, and now rebalance no longer fails the migration of sparse files even with enormous size. (BZ#1823703)
Earlier, the geo-replication in rsync mode failed to start and the session went into a faulty mode. With this update, relevant SELinux booleans have been introduced, and by setting these booleans to “on” state the geo-replication in rsync mode is successful. (BZ#1829839)

All users of glusterfs are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which provide numerous bug fixes and enhancements.
