RHBA-2021:1015 - OpenShift Container Platform 4.5.37 bug fix update
Synopsis
OpenShift Container Platform 4.5.37 bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory None
Topic
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform release 4.5.37 is now available with updates to packages and images that fix several bugs.
Description
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is Red Hat's cloud computing Kubernetes application platform solution designed for on-premise or private cloud deployments.
This advisory contains the container images for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.5.37. See the following advisory for the RPM packages for this release:
https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2021:1016
Space precludes documenting all of the container images in this advisory. See the following Release Notes documentation, which will be updated shortly for this release, for details about these changes:
https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.5/release_notes/ocp-4-5-release-notes.html
This update fixes the following bug among others:
- Previously, when an OpenShift router created an invalid HAProxy config that caused router reloads to fail, the
HAProxyReloadFailPrometheus alert only lasted for approximately 5 minutes, regardless of the actual duration of the reload outage. With this release, the routertemplate_router_reload_failscounter metric is replaced with the newtemplate_router_reload_failuregauge metric. TheHAProxyReloadFailalert now fires based on the boolean status of thetemplate_router_reload_failuremetric, and theHAProxyReloadFailmetric lasts the entire time that HAProxy reloads are failing. (BZ#1896186)
