RHBA-2022:1750 - OpenJDK 11.0.15.9 Windows Builds bug fix update
Synopsis
OpenJDK 11.0.15.9 Windows Builds bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory None
Topic
The Red Hat Build of OpenJDK 8 (java-1.8.0-openjdk) is now available for Windows.
Description
Under certain circumstances, an application may fail with "Invalid file path" after the April 2022 OpenJDK security update. This commonly happens with files containing a colon, such as "NUL:" for example. It was caused by the introduction of a new security check to disable the creation of Alternative Data Streams in NTFS filesystems. In this update, the check is disabled by default, reverting to the behaviour prior to the April 2022 release. The check may be re-enabled by passing -Djdk.io.File.enableADS=false.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.
