RHBA-2023:7775 - Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation 4.13.5 Bug Fix Update
Synopsis
Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation 4.13.5 Bug Fix Update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory None
Topic
Updated images that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation 4.13.5 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 from Red Hat Container Registry.
Description
Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation is software-defined storage integrated with and optimized for the Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation. Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation is a highly scalable, production-grade persistent storage for stateful applications running in the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. In addition to persistent storage, Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation provisions a multi-cloud data management service with an S3-compatible API.
Bug fixes:
- Previously, in the web console, the following issues occurred because of the refactoring of storage class related code on the OpenShift (console) side:
- When ceph-csi or ceph-rbd provisioner was selected, the page displayed runtime type error.
- The default parameters for RADOS block device (RBD) or container storage interface (CSI) based classes were not getting added to the created storage class.
- Form validations were not working correctly.
With this fix, the issues related to the OpenShift console in the newly refactored code are fixed. Also, a few changes are made on the OpenShift Data Foundation (odf-console) side to make sure the new changes are aligned. As a result, the functionality works without any error. (BZ#2240767)
- Previously, for the internal OpenShift Data Foundation deployments, the user interface would show HDD, SSD, or both depending on the infra in the Volume type dropdown. However, for all the internal deployments, it should be assumed that the disks are SSD as that is the only volume type supported.
With this fix, the Volume type dropdown is removed from the user interface and always assumes it to be SSD. (BZ#2241179)
All users of Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation are advised to upgrade to these updated images, which provide these bug fixes.
