An update for gcc-toolset-14-gdb is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.

Description

GDB, the GNU debugger, allows you to debug programs written in C, C++, Java, and other languages, by executing them in a controlled fashion and printing their data.

Bug Fix(es) and Enhancement(s):

  • [FJ8.8 Bug]: Gdb fails to write to a specific register on a machine with a Sapphire Rapids generation CPU (JIRA:RHEL-10470)

  • gdb error in testing breakpoint condition: Couldn't get registers: No such process (JIRA:RHEL-13298)

  • "PC not saved" message, no disassembly on attempt to stepi through JIT-compiled code (JIRA:RHEL-19390)
