An updated wireshark package that provides one enhancement is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
Description
Wireshark, previously known as Ethereal, is a network protocol analyzer. It is used to capture and browse the traffic running on a computer network.
This updated wireshark package adds the following enhancement:
- Prior to this update, Wireshark did not show traffic information for the Network File System (NFS) version 4.1 protocol. With this update, the NFS packet dissector is enhanced so that Wireshark correctly displays traffic for this protocol. Note that NFS version 4.1 is introduced as a Technology Preview for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. (BZ#746839)
Users of wireshark are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which adds this enhancement.
