RHEA-2016:1690 - ovirt-vmconsole bug fix and enhancement update for RHV 4.0
Synopsis
ovirt-vmconsole bug fix and enhancement update for RHV 4.0
Type/Severity
Product Enhancement Advisory None
Topic
Updated ovirt-vmconsole packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available.
Description
The ovirt-vmconsole package enables secure access to a virtual machine's serial console using SSH protocol. It connects the user console to the destination host from the command line, so that users can access a console when they do not have direct access to the Red Hat Virtualization Manager.
Changes to the ovirt-vmconsole component:
- Previously, the ovirt-vmconsole package failed to install or to be upgraded if SELinux was disabled on the target host. Now, both install and upgrade operation will succeed on the target host. Note that if this package is installed or upgraded with SELinux disabled, the SELinux policies will not be updated. If SELinux is enabled again a package reinstall will be required. (BZ#1342270)
