RHEA-2019:0543 - new packages: rh-jmc
Synopsis
new packages: rh-jmc
Type/Severity
Product Enhancement Advisory None
Topic
New rh-jmc packages are now available as a part of Red Hat Software Collections 3.2 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
JDK Mission Control (JMC) is a powerful profiler for HotSpot JVMs. JMC provides an advanced set of tools for efficient and detailed analysis of extensive data collected by the JDK Flight Recorder. The tool chain enables developers and administrators to collect and analyze data from Java applications running locally or deployed in production environments. JMC requires JDK version 8 or later to run. Target Java applications must run with at least OpenJDK version 11 so that JMC can access JDK Flight Recorder features.
This enhancement update adds the rh-jmc packages to Red Hat Software Collections. (BZ#1677211)
For details, see the Red Hat Software Collections 3.2 Release Notes linked from the References section.
All users who require rh-jmc are advised to install these new packages.
