Description
Red Hat CloudForms Management Engine provides the insight, control, and automation needed to address the challenges of managing virtual environments.
An input sanitization flaw was found in Red Hat CloudForms Management Engine. A user with administrative access to Red Hat CloudForms Management Engine could use this flaw to execute arbitrary Ruby code with root privileges. (CVE-2013-4172)
This issue was discovered by James Laska of Red Hat.
This update also fixes several bugs and adds one enhancement. Documentation for these changes will be available shortly from the CloudForms 2.0 Management Engine 5.1 Technical Notes, linked to in the References.
All users of Red Hat CloudForms Management Engine are advised to apply this update, which corrects this issue, and fixes the bugs and adds the enhancement noted in the Technical Notes. Refer to the Solution section of this erratum for installation instructions.
