A remote attacker could use this flaw to read files accessible to the user running the application server, and potentially perform other more advanced XML eXternal Entity (XXE) attacks.
Statement
Red Hat JBoss BRMS 5; Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 5; and Red Hat JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform 4 and 5 are now in Phase 3, Extended Life Support, of their respective life cycles. This issue has been rated as having Moderate security impact and is not currently planned to be addressed in future updates. Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authorities (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications ).
