Why does sosreport fail to gather crm_report and other information about my Pacemaker cluster?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 or 7 with the High Availability Add On
Issue
- When sosreport is collected, it does not gather any information about the pacemaker cluster configuration
Resolution
- RHEL 6 Update 5: Upgrade the
sospackage tosos-2.2-47.el6_5.1or later. - RHEL 7 Update 0: Upgrade the sos package to
sos-3.0-20.el7or later. - RHEL 7 Update 1: Update to

Root Cause
Older versions of the sos package didn't contain the logic to make appropriate use of the crm_report tool to gather pacemaker configuration data. This was resolved in the following bugzillas:
RHEL 6.5 This content is not included.BZ# 1035774

RHEL 7: This content is not included.BZ# 1030553
However in RHEL 7 Update 1, a new issue was introduced that again causes crm_report to fail to be collected. This was resolved with a RHEL 7 Update asynchronous erratum by Red Hat in This content is not included.Bugzilla #1200526.
