Issue
Systems are re-imaged on a regular basis and each time a system is re-imaged, it consumes a new entitlement. How do I reduce the labor required to maintain our entitlements by reusing existing allocated entitlement?
Resolution
At the time of this writing, the only method for avoiding duplicate system entries on This content is not included.Red Hat Subscription Management or Red Hat Satellite is to delete the system registration prior to reprovisioning the system.
However, a Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) has been filed to add functionality to the subscription-management register command to auto-detect that an existing system is being re-registered. This RFE is being tracked in a private Red Hat Bug #1265496. For more information or to also request this feature, please This content is not included.open a case with Red Hat Support1.
