failing namespace resolution after CXF-5891 after updating from JBoss EAP 6.2 to JBoss EAP 6.3 CP3

Environment

• Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 6.3.3, 6.4.0, 6.4.1

Issue

• Failing namespace resolution for SOAP request. After updating from EAP 6.2.3 to 6.3.3, one of our clients reported a problem with a web service that previously worked fine, but in 6.3.3, the response is a SOAP fault with the message "prefix xs is not bound to a namespace". Any namespace defined in the Body element is not considered any more. The problem only occurs when defining one or more SOAP handlers.

Resolution

Update to JBoss EAP 6.4 and apply cumulative patch 2 when available.
